Who are our climbing trips in the Jura aimed at?
The climbing cliffs of the Jura are situated in the heart of the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park, an area renowned for the quality of its natural sites and the diversity of its landscape.
Our guided climbing courses are suitable for both beginners and experienced climbers. The crags at Mijoux, Moirans-en-Montagne, Orno and Les Dalles du Marais offer something for everyone, whatever your ability or preference.
The sessions are open to children aged 4 and over, with a teaching approach tailored to younger children.
Formats to suit your needs
Most of our climbing trips in the Jura are offered as private sessions, ensuring you receive personalised guidance and a programme tailored to your ability. You’ll climb exclusively with the people in your group (family, friends or as a couple), for a bespoke experience.
Only the Wednesday climbing taster session in Mijoux is run as a group session. This introductory session gives you the chance to try out the activity alongside other participants.

What to bring
For your climbing activities, you will need to bring some basic personal equipment:
- Sports shoes: trainers.
- Water bottle: 1 litre per person, or more in hot weather.
- Personal climbing shoes: available if required.

The cliffs are a 1½ to 2-hour drive from Besançon, Métabief, Montbéliard, Pontarlier, Lyon, Dijon, Mâcon, Lons-le-Saunier, Geneva, Bourg-en-Bresse, Chalon-sur-Saône and Bern.
For a weekend getaway in the countryside from Paris, Orléans, Bourges, Metz, Strasbourg or Nancy, allow around 4½ to 5 hours’ drive.
