Family activities and mountain sports in the Jura
Set in the heart of the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park, our summer activities are suitable for both beginners and experienced participants.
Some outings are suitable for children aged 4 and over (depending on the activity). Whether you’re with family, friends or a group, enjoy a safe experience in a stunning natural setting.
For canyoning activities, it is essential that you can swim.
What to bring
For your canyoning, via ferrata, caving and climbing activities, please bring :
- Sports shoes : trainers or hiking boots – available for hire.
- Small rucksack : for carrying your water bottle and personal belongings.
- Water bottle : 1 litre per person, or more in hot weather.
- Picnic : for day trips only.
- Swimwear : short or long, the choice is yours – For Canyoning only.
- Mountain biking gloves : not essential but very comfortable – For Via Ferrata only – Available to hire.
- Sportswear : trousers + sweatshirt – For Caving only.
- Waterproof camera or GoPro : Available for hire.
Please note: Water shoes, Crocs and jelly shoes are not permitted.
Your summer activities around Saint-Claude, in the heart of the Jura
Our summer activities take place mainly around Saint-Claude and Foncine-le-Bas, in the Jura mountains.
The activity sites are located near iconic natural landmarks such as Lake Vouglans, the Hérisson Waterfalls near Clairvaux-les-Lacs, the resort of Les Rousses and Champagnole.
Easily accessible from Franche-Comté and neighbouring regions, the Jura is a 1½ to 2-hour drive from Besançon, Métabief, Lyon, Dijon and Geneva.
For a weekend getaway in the countryside from Paris, Alsace or Lorraine, allow around 4½–5 hours’ drive.

Can we book at the last minute ?
Yes, you can book your outdoor activity at any time via our online booking system.
How long should I allow for ?
Allow 3 hours for half-day outdoor activities and 5½ to 6 hours for full-day outings.
I wear glasses – can I take part ?
Of course! Make sure you bring a cord. Your guide will explain how to avoid losing them or damaging them. Ideally, bring an old pair. Even better, wear contact lenses if you can.
What if the weather is bad ?
The guide may change the itinerary. If the activity cannot go ahead, we will reschedule it for another day. If this is not possible, we will cancel it. In that case, you will receive a full refund.
